Gross weight in Management Query and reports
This article explains where gross weight comes from in orders, where to view it (Web and Mobile), and what to check when the information does not appear.
Where gross weight comes from
Section titled “Where gross weight comes from”The order gross weight is the sum of the item gross weights, based on the product registration and the ordered quantity.
For Demander to calculate weight on the order, the company must enable Calculate net weight and gross weight on the order in Company settings → Additional settings. See also Additional company settings.
The product must also have gross weight filled in (or via integration). Without weight on the product, the order total stays zero or empty.
Where to view it
Section titled “Where to view it”Demander Web
Section titled “Demander Web”- In the order listing and details, when weight calculation is enabled
- In reports and Management Query, in gross weight columns/totals — as long as the report or view exposes that field and the user has permission in User groups
Demander Mobile
Section titled “Demander Mobile”In the app reports (Sales x Customer, Sales x Product, etc.), gross weight only appears if the company calculates weight on the order and the query consolidates that data. To enable the reports button on mobile, see Which reports are available for salespeople and managers?.
What to check if gross weight does not appear
Section titled “What to check if gross weight does not appear”- Company setting — is Calculate net weight and gross weight on the order set to Yes?
- Product registration — does the item have gross weight filled in?
- Order — were the items in the queried period saved after the setting and registration were correct? Old orders without product weight do not gain weight by themselves.
- Permission / report — on the Web, does the user group allow the report or Management Query in use? Does the selected view include the gross weight column?
- Mobile — is the Reports button visible in additional settings?
