Cities Policy by Seller

This article aims to explain Demander’s Cities Policy by Seller functionality.

  • The Cities by Seller Policy allows you to restrict or allow the viewing of specific cities for each seller. Each registration defines whether or not the seller can access a specific city.
  • The rules must be used consistently by the seller: either just Allow (accesses only the cities specified) or just Block (accesses all, except those specified).
  • It makes no sense to mix the two types for the same seller, as one approach already completely determines access. However, different sellers can use different approaches as needed.
  • Seller A: Porto Alegre → Allow Caxias do Sul → Allow → The seller accesses only Porto Alegre and Caxias do Sul
  • Seller B: Porto Alegre → Block Caxias do Sul → Block → The seller accesses** all cities, except Porto Alegre and Caxias do Sul
  • 1. How to configure? The configuration of this policy can be carried out by integrating the table Table 270 - Cities Policy by Seller. It is necessary to send the records informing the seller’s code, the city code and the desired behavior (1 for Allow, 2 for Block). -** 2. Is it possible to configure city policy through the system (without integration)?** Yes. Configuration can also be carried out directly by the system, without the need for integration, through the [Cities Policy by Seller] screen (https://sistema.demander.com.br/dinamico/politica-de-cidades-por-vendedor). -** 3. Do customers already registered in blocked cities continue to appear?** Yes. The policy does not remove or hide customers already linked to the seller, even if they are in blocked cities. The rule is only applied to prevent the inclusion of new customers in these cities.
