New layout, new design, or new Demander Android version (Flutter)

People often say: “I want the new layout”, “there’s a new design”, “I updated and got the new version”, or “it moved to Flutter”.

In practice, they usually mean the migration from the old native Android app to the new look (Flutter) — not just downloading the latest build from the Play Store.

What someone said What it usually means
New version (number / store update) A new build on the Play Store (e.g. 5.2.6). The look may stay the same.
New version (layout / design change) The app looks different: new screens and navigation. That is the Flutter migration.

If screens and navigation really changed, it is not “just a version number”: it is the new layout / new design (Flutter). If they only updated from the store and the look is the same, they are still on the old Android until Flutter is enabled in Demander Web.

  • New layout / new design / new look → Android with the new appearance and navigation (Flutter).
  • New version → can mean either: a store version number or that layout change. Check the look.
  • Moved to Flutter / new Android → same idea: left the old app and entered the new one.

Day-to-day work stays: orders, customers, products, routes, offline use. What changes is the experience (more modern, smoother) and, underneath, the Android app structure.

This article helps anyone searching for terms like:

  • new Demander Android layout
  • new Android design
  • new Demander Android version
  • Flutter
  • Android Flutter migration

Today, the seller cannot turn on the new layout alone on the phone. Updating from the Play Store alone is also not enough: without enabling it in Demander Web, the device may stay on the old look.

In upcoming versions of the Android app, this should become possible (the seller enabling the new layout on the phone). There is still no defined date or version number.

In Demander Web, the field is Comportamento do aplicativo Demander Android (Demander Android app behavior):

  • Android Nativo → stays on the old app
  • Estrutura Flutter → moves to the new look and structure (the next time the person signs in)

You can enable it for one seller (pilot) or the whole company. Step by step:

After enabling, ask them to sign out and sign in again in the app.

  1. Did they mention new layout, new design, or new Android version?
  2. Confirm whether they already have the new look or still the old one (and whether “new version” meant a store number or a layout change).
  3. If migrating: follow Flutter activation.
  4. See what changes in the new look / migration article.
  5. Ask them to sign out and sign in again after enabling.
