Manual registration and ERP integration
If the company has an ERP integration, create and change data in the ERP and send it to Demander through the integration. Do not use the Demander Web screen (or spreadsheet import) as the default path.
Why not register only in Demander
Section titled “Why not register only in Demander”The screen still lets you create and edit the record. With integration on, the next sync writes again what came from the ERP.
What was done only in Demander disappears, reverts to the ERP value, or no longer matches the official record. The salesperson then sees one value and the ERP another.
This applies to customers, products, prices, sellers, and the other records the ERP sends.
When a manual registration makes sense
Section titled “When a manual registration makes sense”Use Demander registration or import only if the company does not have an ERP integration, or if support confirms that field is not sent by the ERP.
Some fields are not changed by the ERP. Example: the customer payment term is not updated by the integration. Outside those cases, treat the ERP as the source.
What to advise
Section titled “What to advise”- Confirm whether the company has an ERP integration.
- If it does, send the data through the matching integration layout table (customer, product, seller, and so on).
- Do not suggest “register it on the Demander screen” as the solution in that case.
