Freight Range Concept
This article aims to explain the concept of Freight Tracks on Demander and how to register them:
Freight Lane Concept
Section titled “Freight Lane Concept”Demander offers a function called “Shipping Range”, which automatically suggests the shipping cost for each product when you place an order.
How it works:
When starting a new order and choosing the desired shipping type, the system automatically calculates the shipping cost based on the settings that have been defined (per unit, gross weight or net weight) and adds this amount to the order total.

Section titled “How to register a new shipping lane:”- Go to the Registration menu
Freight lane - Click “New”.
- Define the code and description of the new shipping lane.
- Click “Save”.
Now, the new shipping lane is registered in the system.

How to configure a shipping lane:
Section titled “How to configure a shipping lane:”- In Shipping Range, go to the “Actions” section and click “Edit” on the shipping range you just created.
- In “Freight Lane Detail”, click “New”.
- There will be three items to be defined:
Product Group: Select the desired product group. Multiplier Field: Choose the unit that will be used to calculate shipping (Unit, Gross Weight or Net Weight). Unit Value: Choose the shipping value that will be multiplied by the defined unit (for example, R$8.00 per unit).
- Click “Save”
Freight lane configuration is complete. Now, you need to enable it.

How to enable Shipping Track:
Section titled “How to enable Shipping Track:”- Step 1: The first step is to enable the “Suggest Shipping” option to make the shipping suggestion function available to your company. Follow these instructions:
- Access the [Company Settings] menu (https://sistema.demander.com.br/dinamico/configuracoes-da-empresa)
- Click on “Additional settings”
- In filter description, type “Suggest shipping on order”
- Click the edit icon under “Actions”.
- Set the option to “Yes” to suggest shipping on the order.
- Click “Update”
- Step 2: The second step to activate the shipping lane is to check if the type of shipping desired has the “Suggest shipping” option enabled:
- Important: If the order does not have the “Shipping Type” field or does NOT have this field filled in, it is assumed that the suggested shipping value will be calculated.
- Access Shipping Type in the menu.
- Locate the desired shipping type and click “Edit”.
- Make sure “Suggest shipping” is checked.
- Click “Update”.
- Step 3: The last step is to configure the shipping range for the desired customer. Follow these steps:
- Access the [Customers] menu (https://sistema.demander.com.br/dinamico/clientes).
- Select the desired customer and click on the edit icon.
- In the “Financial” tab, locate the “Shipping Range” option and select the desired range for that customer.
- Click “Update”
Ready! Now you can place orders with shipping added automatically.
