How to generate the product catalog as a PDF

You can generate a PDF catalog from the Products screen in the Demander app. Use the listing filters to choose products, organize the columns, and share the file from your phone.

The Generate Catalog as PDF option appears when:

  • Product PDF generation and sharing are enabled in the company settings.
  • The app uses the Flutter database.
  • A price list is available for the query.

If the option is missing, ask the person responsible for Demander settings to check these conditions. See How to enable Flutter on Android per salesperson for details about the Flutter database on Android.

  1. Open Products in the app.
  2. Select the price list and apply the desired filters, such as product group or code and description search.
  3. Adjust the listing’s sort order and check the returned products.
  4. Open the header options menu and select Generate Catalog as PDF.
  5. On first use, organize the fields on Configure PDF and choose Portrait or Landscape.
  6. Tap Generate Catalog and wait for the document to open.

Generation uses the filters and sort order of the product query. Apply filters before opening the catalog.

On Configure PDF, drag fields to choose which information to display and its order:

  • Above the dotted line: fields visible in the catalog. Their position defines column order.
  • Below the dotted line: hidden fields.

To add a column, drag the field above the line. To remove it, drag it below.

Field Information shown Visible by default
Code Product code. Yes
Description Product description. Yes
Package quantity Quantity per package. Yes
Unit Value Value per unit in the package, considering an applicable promotion. Yes
Value Table price, followed by the unit when provided. Yes
Unit Product unit. No
Barcode Registered barcode. No
Reference Product reference. No
Product group code Product group code. No
Product group description Product group description. No
Gross weight Registered gross weight. Available when weight calculation is enabled. No
Net weight Registered net weight. Available when weight calculation is enabled. No

When package quantity is greater than 1, Unit Value divides the sale price by package quantity. If a promotional value exists and the promotion’s end date has not passed, this field uses the promotion. Value still shows the table price.

Choose Portrait for vertical pages or Landscape for horizontal pages. Landscape gives columns more horizontal space. The initial orientation is Portrait.

In the Configure PDF options menu, select Restore default order to restore the initial visible fields and column order. Then tap Generate Catalog to save and apply the settings.

The PDF displays products in a table with the selected fields. The header includes company identification, issue date and time, salesperson, and price list information. Column headings repeat on subsequent pages.

To change the document:

  1. Open the configuration option in the catalog viewer.
  2. Adjust the fields, order, or orientation.
  3. Tap Generate Catalog to open the updated PDF.

To send the document, use the viewer’s share option and choose an available destination on your device.

The file name starts with produtos_, followed by the generation date and time, with the .pdf extension.

Select the price list and filter the Beverages group on Products. In PDF settings, keep Code, Description, and Value above the dotted line, in that order.

The catalog uses the filtered query and displays the three selected columns.

Consider a product sold by the box, with 12 units per package, a table price of R$ 120.00/CX, and UN as the package unit:

Situation Value Unit Value
No applicable promotion R$ 120.00/CX R$ 10.00/UN
Applicable promotion of R$ 108.00 per box R$ 120.00/CX R$ 9.00/UN

Move Value and Unit Value below the dotted line. Keep Code, Description, and Reference above the line, for example, and generate again.

Why does configuration not open every time?

Section titled “Why does configuration not open every time?”

The app reuses saved settings. Open configuration in the catalog viewer to change them.

What if there are no products to generate?

Section titled “What if there are no products to generate?”

If the app reports no products for the current filters, review the price list, search, and other filters. Check that Products returns records before generating again.

Drag at least one field above the dotted line. The app asks you to keep at least one field above the line when no columns are visible.

What if the device cannot generate the full PDF?

Apply filters to include fewer products and generate smaller catalogs. For example, generate a separate file for each product group.
