1. How does PlugBot work?

*Attention, PlugBot is not compatible with Windows Server 2008 or lower.

PlugBot is the service that synchronizes your database data with PlugMobile applications.

This service must be installed on the client’s server, thus being able to connect to the database - or file system - where the data is stored.

PlugBot is responsible for sending data from the bank to the cloud, providing information to all PlugMobile applications. And it is also responsible for receiving new data and inserting it into the database.

When launched, PlugBot integrates with your data using the integration method chosen in the configuration panel.

With PlugBot online, the service synchronizes your data with your applications in real time.

Summary of how the application works:

  1. PlugBot connects to the data source (database or text files) to access system information.
  2. PlugBot synchronizes server data and data stored in the PlugMobile Cloud in real time.
  3. Applications such as PlugDash and PlugSales, which use the internet, communicate with the PlugMobile Cloud and make requests and send information to it.
  4. Applications such as PlugFoods, which only use the internal network, make requests and send information (such as orders, in the case of PlugFoods), directly to PlugBot, which in turn, inserts and reads the data directly from the data source.
